Clever Coffee Dripper

Definition:  

The Clever Coffee Dripper is a full-immersion coffee brewer that combines the best features of French press and pour-over methods. It allows coffee to steep in hot water before being filtered through a paper filter, resulting in a clean and flavorful cup. 

Basic Brew Recipe: 

Ratio: 1:16 

Brew time: 4 minutes 

To make your Clever Coffee Dripper: 

  1. Place a filter in the Clever Coffee Dripper, place it on scales and tare. 

  2. Fill the Clever Coffee Dripper with 400g of freshly boiled water. 

  3. Add 25g of medium-coarse ground coffee (see brew ratio guide) and stir the coffee and water mixture. 

  4. Let it steep for 4 minutes. 

  5. Place the Clever Coffee Dripper on top of a cup or carafe to start the draining process. It should take about 1 minute to drain completely. 

  6. Remove the dripper once the coffee has drained. 

  7. Pour everything into your cup and enjoy. 

Extra tip:  

Adjust the grind size and brew time to your preference. Finer grinds and longer brew times result in a stronger coffee, while coarser grinds and shorter brew times produce a milder coffee. It's a good idea to rinse the filter by pouring boiling water into the filter and dripper, then discarding this water. It will also warm the brewer before use. 

Adjust the recipe to your taste by altering the coffee or water amount. Once perfected, you can repeat your recipe, maintaining consistency for great tasting coffee every time.
